Selenium (in Greek, Selene meaning "Moon") was discovered in 1817 by Jons Jakob Berzelius who found the element associated with Earth. Selenium exists in two forms, inorganic and organic due to its different molecular structures. Nutritional scientists have found that Organic Selenium is not only the natural form but a much healthier than Inorganic Selenium.

Plants that are grown in the extreme Selenium deficient area may have low concentration of Selenium.
Vitamin E is a well-known antioxidant that neutralizes free radicals and prevents the propagation of the oxidative chain reactions in human body. Both Selenium and Vitamin E are important trace elements for men's health. Researches have shown that Selenium works together with Vitamin E in preventing the development or progression of prostate cancer.
With the special formulated diet designed by MARDITECH, LTKM's hens are able to produce eggs enriched with Organic Selenium and Vitamin E. Apart from being a protein-rich staple food with multivitamins and minerals content, LTK Organic Selenium Plus contains 40mcg per 100g Selenium and 4.1mg per 100g Vitamin E. A LTK Organic Selenium Plus egg weighs around 50-59g. In other words, a LTK Organic Selenium Plus egg provides approximately 20-25mcg Selenium as well as 2.5-3.0mg Vitamin E. In addition, LTK Organic Selenium Plus only contains Natural Carotenoid, no synthetic colouring is used to enhance the yolk colour. |
